WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the God of the Bible is the only one and true God revealed eternally in three persons as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three persons are the same being with the same nature and character and exist in perfect unity eternally.

GOD

We believe that Jesus is God and the second person in the Godhead. He is eternal in nature and was manifested in flesh and walked on the earth as both God and Man. He was born by a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay the price of our sins and rose again in order to redeem all those who are willing to receive Him as Lord.

JESUS

We believe that every believer can be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit, who was sent to us to comfort, teach and guide us in our journey with God, while at the same time convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. The Holy Spirit empowers each believer with spiritual gifts.

HOLY
SPIRIT

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and states nothing contrary to fact in the original documents. We believe that all Scripture found in the Bible is reliable for reproving, correcting and instructing in the way of life and is unchangeable in nature.

THE BIBLE

We believe that salvation is a gift of God and cannot be earned but must be received by the grace of God. We believe that God will not refuse those who humbly come to Him in repentance and accept His Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior.

SALVATION

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

2 Timothy 3.16  |   I Peter 1:25  |  2 Peter 1:21

We believe in one God revealed as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19  |  John 1:14  |  Acts 5:3-4  |  2 Corinthians 13:14  |  Colossians 1:15-20

We believe in the virgin birth and the deity of Jesus Christ, that He was fully God and fully man.

Matthew 1:23  |  John 1:14

We believe that man, created in the image of God, by voluntary disobedience fell into the depths of sin. We believe that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Genesis 1:27  |  Romans 5:12  |  John 3:16  |  Titus 2:14

We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly through grace.

Romans 10:6-10  |  1 John 1:9

We believe in the commandment of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord.

Matthew 28:19  |  Acts 2:38  |  Acts 10:48

We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper.

1 Corinthians 11:24-26

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, an experience following conversion, and that His incoming is after the same manner as in the days of the Early Church.

Acts 1:5  |  10:44-46  |  19:1-6

We believe in the Spirit-filled life; that it is the will of God that believers walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16-25  |  Ephesians 4:30-32 and 5:1

We believe that healing is the power of Jesus Christ to heal the sick through the prayer of faith.

Mark 16: 17, 18  |  James 5:14-16

We believe the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent.

Matthew 24:36, 42, 44  |  1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17

We believe it is our sacred duty to identify ourselves with a congregation of believers.

Acts 16:5  |  Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe that heaven is the eternal home of born-again believers and that hell is the place of eternal separation from God for all who reject Christ as Savior.

John 14:2  |  Revelation 20:10, 15

We believe that tithing and offerings are ordained of God to sustain His ministry, spread the Gospel, and release personal blessing.

FAQ

What is New Dawn about?

We are all about ENCOUNTERING God in a very personal way. We believe that everyone can know God intimately and we strive to create an environment where people understand who they are: “sons and daughters” of a loving God.

What should I expect on a Sunday morning?

Expect an incredible worship experience as we pursue God together. In our services there is such a spirit of freedom where people encounter the Father’s love. We are also very unique in our makeup because we are a multicultural and multi-generational church. The number one compliment we receive when guests visit with us is that they feel very loved and accepted. There is truly a genuine love that our people have for one another and it really can’t be explained but rather experienced. Finally, our Pastor always comes with a word that will fill you and inspire you. We preach the Bible and our messages are meant to draw you closer to Jesus.

What about water baptism?

We believe that everyone who has repented of sin and placed their trust in Jesus Christ should be water baptized. Out of obedience to Christ, and to celebrate the new life He has given, a believer should be immersed in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We celebrate water baptism publicly as a church because it signifies our sinful nature dying as Jesus died, and our new life being raised as Jesus was raised from the grave three days after His crucifixion. Water Baptisms are scheduled every other month so look out for our announcements and sign ups.

How do I start to meet some people and get involved?

You can start by attending our Sunday morning services at 10:30am. We also offer an incredible tool that will help you connect to God, your church family, and yourself: Growth Track. Growth Track runs every other month and is a short class  we do on Sunday mornings from 9:45 - 10:15am. It helps you discover your God-given gifts and helps us plug you into the areas of your gifting and calling. Growth Track is required to serve at New Dawn. In 2018, Growth Track will be available in January, March, May, July, September, & November.
